UPM to Produce Renewable Diesel from Crude Tall Oil at Finland Plant

Finland-based pulp/paper producer UPM announced February 1 that it will build a 100,000 tonne-per-year renewable diesel plant at Lappeenranta, Finland, employing hydrotreating technology to convert tall oil (pine tree byproduct) to all-hydrocarbon diesel fuel.
