Research Reveals Soy Biodiesel is High Emitter of Acrolein

Soy-based biodiesel emits the highest level of acrolein, a toxic aldehyde caused by the breakdown of glycerol at high temperatures, from a range of different fuels used in heavy-duty trucks, according to a recent study included in the journal Environmental Science & Technology.
