BioAmber, Evonik Partner on Catalysts for Renewable Chemicals Derived from Bio-Based Succinic Acid

Evonik Industries’ Catalyst Business Line and Minneapolis, Minn.-based BioAmber Inc. jointly announced July 24 a long-term cooperation for the development and manufacturing of catalysts for making 1,4 butanediol (BDO), tetrahydrofuran (THF) and gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) from bio-based succinic acid.
