DDPSC Awarded DOE Grant to Develop Drought Tolerant Bioenergy Grasses for Biofuels Production
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded a five-year US$12.1 million grant to researchers at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center (DDPSC) in St. Louis, Mo., and research collaborators from four other universities, to develop a new model plant system, Setaria viridis, to advance bioenergy grasses as a sustainable source of renewable fuels, the DDPSC announced July 16.
