Ethanol Plants Temporarily Idle Production Amid Unfavorable Market Conditions

Slumping corn supplies, rising corn prices, high ethanol inventories and a lackluster demand for gasoline have caused several ethanol plants in the U.S. to temporarily idle production, and more are expected to follow suit, according to industry observers.
