New IEA Secretary General
The Industrial Ethanol Association (IEA) is pleased to announce the recent appointment of Pascale Rouhier as Secretary General. Pascale Rouhier has six years’ experience in international trade, including previously representing trade associations in agriculture and commodities as Secretary General.

IEA’s members are synthetic ethanol producers INEOS, PetroSA Europe, and Sasol Solvents Germany.
Its objective is to represent the interests of this sector to policymakers and other stakeholders in order to promote fair competition and maintain a healthy European ethanol market. Synthetic ethanol is produced from fossil fuels and is used in the industrial market, mainly for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, inks and industrial chemical products.
On her appointment, Pascale Rouhier said “There are many challenges facing synthetic ethanol producers today. As Secretary General of IEA, I am committed to ensuring fair competition for the industry and ensuring that users of synthetic ethanol within numerous European industry sectors can continue to benefit from the essential supply of this consistently high-quality raw material.”
