HAWKEYE NAMES BYRON STEWART DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION AND LOGISTICS SERVICES

Transportation Veteran adds Experience, Strength to Expanded Business Team

Hawkeye Energy Holdings is pleased to announce that Byron Stewart has accepted the position of Director of Transportation and Logistics Services, effective immediately. Byron has recently served as Hawkeye Gold Director of Marketing and Transportation and this newly formed position leads all corporate transportation functions and business activities.  Byron has over 25 years of transportation experience in agriculture and 10 years experience in merchandising.

The selection of Byron Stewart is part of Hawkeye’s continued commitment to expanding the company’s overall capabilities in the expanding ethanol and feed markets.

Hawkeye’s Chief Commercial Officer Marty Lyons said: “We are delighted to have a person with Byron’s expertise in this important transportation and logistics role. Hawkeye Energy Holdings and its subsidiaries have 450 million gallons of ethanol production capacity located in Iowa. Hawkeye’s Iowa Falls and Fairbank facilities currently operate over 220 million gallons of ethanol production and Hawkeye’s Menlo and Shell Rock plants, which will become operational in the second half of 2008, will add another 230 million gallons of production. Hawkeye is headquartered in Ames, Iowa.
