To Ethanol Industry Participants:

New Website
CME Group has released a new website version, and we are happy to inform that now you’ll be able to access our ethanol data much more easily. You can view delayed quotes, settlement prices, volume data, charts, etc. for futures, options and swaps, in addition to resources and product information.
This is a beta release, so we welcome your feedback which can be submitted directly from each web page. Data for options on the forward month swaps will be available soon.

Ethanol Chartbook
The October data chart is posted on the website. It can be found in the Education tab of the Resources section of the new ethanol web pages..

Futures Settlement Procedures
On Oct. 23 we implemented changes to the settlement rules of the CBT ethanol futures contracts traded on Globex, establishing a trade weighted average and a minimum lot requirement. Please contact me if you have questions about the settlement determination process or would like to have further details about the changes made.

Ethanol Options Now Block Eligible
Effective Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 (FTD Monday, Nov. 24), ethanol options will be available for block trading. The minimum block quantity is 10, and the ticker symbol is OEH.

Ethanol Strips
Effective Sunday, Nov. 23, 2008 (FTD Monday, Nov. 24), monthly strips will be available for ethanol futures. We will be listing the first 12 months, starting with Feb 09; a table of listed strips is attached.
Nothing changes regarding the OTC contracts, which already have strips available: our Clearing 360 platform is designed to allow firms to define the strips they want (start month and end month), and C360 will automatically list them.
